Repair Limitations: Excludes stone chips that affect ADAS systems, repairs where there have been a total of 8 or more previous repairs anywhere on the windscreen, cracks that start or finish at the edge of the windscreen, where damage extends through more than the outer layer of glass, where there is notable delamination of the laminate bonding layer, or where replacement is otherwise recommended under Australian New Zealand Safety Standard AS/NSZ 2366.1-1999 or other safety recommendation

Frequently Asked Questions
How many different types of repairs can customers receive? Is it limited to one type of repair per service?
Each Halo Auto Care membership plan offers unlimited repairs within the eligible repairs schedule for that specific plan. Repairs cost $50 each, regardless of the type. Customers can schedule multiple eligible repairs at the same time, but each repair incurs a separate $50 charge. For example, if a customer needs two separate scratches repaired and a cosmetic wheel scrape fixed, the total cost would be $150 for the three repairs.
How long do repairs typically take?
The duration of each repair can vary depending on its nature and complexity. However, in most cases, our skilled technicians typically spend about 2-3 hours on-site to complete a repair. This timeframe ensures thorough and high-quality work while minimising inconvenience to our customers.
Are there warranties or guarantees for the repairs?
Yes, Halo Auto Care provides warranties for all repairs as outlined in Section 4 of our Terms and Conditions. These can be found on our website and in the Halo Auto Care App. While the specific details are in the T&Cs, generally, we stand behind the quality of our work and offer protection against faulty workmanship. If any issues arise due to our repair work, we will remedy the situation in accordance with our warranty policy.

The “critical vision area” refers to the area of the windscreen directly in the driver’s line of sight. Halo’s windscreen chip repair coverage has different size limits depending on if the chip is inside or outside of this critical area:
- Inside the critical vision area: Single chips up to 5mm in diameter can be repaired
- Outside the critical vision area: Single chips up to 20mm in diameter can be repaired
This distinction is made because chips in the critical vision area could potentially impact the driver’s visibility more than those outside the main line of sight while driving.
What happens if I'm not satisfied with a repair?
If you believe a repair is defective due to Halo Auto Care’s workmanship, you should notify us in writing within 7 days of the repair completion. We may then choose to re-do the repair or provide a refund.
